WHO WE ARE

THE OVERVIEW OF OUR ORGANIZATION
Tanzania Network of NGOs Against Malaria (TNNAM) is a national coalition dedicated to eliminating malaria and NTDs in Tanzania. Founded in February 2017 by a group of passionate malaria activists and frontline health advocates, TNNAM was established to serve as a civil society platform that unites NGOs, CBOs, and non-state actors in the fight against malaria.
Recognizing the need for a coordinated approach to malaria eradication, TNNAM expanded its reach in May 2019 during a strategic meeting coordinated by the ALMA Secretariat, Tanzania Office. This pivotal meeting, attended by representatives from South Korea’s APPGM (All-Party Parliamentary Group on Malaria) and other international stakeholders, led to the resolution of establishing a National Malaria Platform. This platform is dedicated to enhancing community engagement, policy advocacy, and capacity building for malaria elimination.
Through strategic collaborations, grassroots mobilization, and data-driven advocacy, TNNAM works to strengthen the national response to malaria, ensuring that Tanzania moves closer to its goal of becoming malaria-free.
