Comprehensive Malaria Eradication Initiatives

Tanzania Network of NGOs Against Malaria (TNNAM) is dedicated to eliminating malaria and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) through strategic, community-driven interventions

MALARIA CONTROL STRATEGIES

Malaria remains one of the leading causes of illness and death in Tanzania, particularly affecting children under five and pregnant women. Despite significant progress, the disease continues to burden communities, slowing economic growth and weakening public health systems. At TNNAM, we believe that a holistic approach combining policy reform, community engagement, and innovative health solutions is essential in the fight against malaria.

Our interventions are designed to bridge the gap between policy and implementation, ensuring that malaria control strategies reach the most vulnerable populations. By leveraging local knowledge, scientific research, and international best practices, we empower communities to take an active role in malaria prevention and treatment. Additionally, we work closely with government institutions, private sector partners, and international organizations to create sustainable, long-term solutions for malaria eradication in Tanzania.

POLICY ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION

  • TNNAM works closely with policymakers, community leaders, and stakeholders to influence national health policies that support malaria eradication. Our advocacy efforts include:

    • Engaging with government agencies to ensure the effective implementation of malaria policies.

    • Utilizing the Tanzania Malaria Scorecard to provide real-time data for decision-making.

    • Organizing forums and campaigns to raise awareness about malaria prevention and treatment.
